Building MiFCT: Digitizing Spain’s Workplace Learning

How we’re connecting schools, companies, and administrations in a single compliant platform for managing FCT/FFE and FP Dual programs.

The Vision

MiFCT is an institutional digital platform designed to replace the fragmented, paper-based processes that currently govern workplace learning in Spain. Our goal is straightforward: give every actor in the system — schools, companies, public administrations, and students — a single, compliant, auditable workflow.

What MiFCT Does

The platform is built around the real operational needs of FCT/FFE and FP Dual management:

For Schools: Digital generation of official documents (Annexes I-VII) adapted to each autonomous community. Automated student-company matching. Real-time tracking of internship hours, incidents, and evaluations. Role-based access for directors, coordinators, tutors, and administrative staff.

For Companies: A structured way to publish internship vacancies, manage tutoring assignments, validate student hours, and communicate with schools. Plus a talent pipeline that connects companies with graduates through alumni networks.

For Public Administrations: Regional visibility across all programs. Document review workflows. Compliance monitoring and reporting by autonomous community. Audit-ready data at every step.

For Students: A clear, accessible experience — mobile-friendly check-in/out, digital signatures, incident reporting, and visibility into their own progress.

Compliance as Architecture

MiFCT isn’t compliant as a feature — compliance is the architecture. The platform is built around:

  • RD 659/2023 — the royal decree governing vocational training reform, including FP Dual General and Intensiva modalities
  • LOMLOE — Spain’s organic education law
  • RGPD/LOPDGDD — European and Spanish data protection regulations, with specific handling for minors’ data
  • Autonomous community regulations — documentation formats and processes that vary across Spain’s 17 CCAAs

Every action in the platform generates an audit trail. Every document is versioned. Every access is logged by role.

Programs Covered

Beyond standard FCT, MiFCT is designed to support the full spectrum of workplace learning programs in Spain: FP Dual (General and Intensiva), Erasmus+ mobility, university internships, professional certificates (SEPE), and regional insertion programs.

Where We Are

MiFCT is in active development, with the platform architecture, core modules, and compliance frameworks already defined. We’re working closely with educational institutions to ensure the platform meets real operational needs from day one.
